Why Did I Make This Site?

My name is Christine Selvy.

I’m a freshman at Portland State University, and this is my e-portfolio. PSU defines this as “an organized collection of digital media files that represent one’s work or achievements over time.” On this site, I have posted and will continue to post various pieces of work that I have completed and have found to be meaningful and helpful to my learning experience. Some of these assignments will include essays; questions for critical thinking; group projects; class presentations; and personal analyses of speakers who came to the class with a presentation. Another key attribute  of the portfolio is that “[it allows the owner to write, record, and thoughtfully reflect on the material as a matter of learning] by taking one’s experience more completely into account…other people can also comment on a person’s work, providing multiple perspectives on the material.” Even with the recentness of my starting this collection, I have found it to be an excellent way of displaying my work.  I look forward to adding more and more of my creations as I continue my college career.
